Morning preparations

Bridal parties tend to begin their day in our dedicated Dressing Room - a calm and private setting perfect for prepare for the day ahead. With plenty of natural light and space for hair and makeup, the room includes dedicated salon-style seating, an en-suite and a kitchenette, complete with a few bottles Prosecco stored in the fridge to bring in the day. It's the perfect start to your celebration!

Grooms and groomsmen generally utilise the Groom's Room in Cedar Cottage on the wedding morning. The room comes with a pool table and beer tap and is a bright and light-filled place to get ready in. Now's the time to spot any kilts that need adjusted or any missing buttonholes!

Our offering

The Ceremony

While the groom will have already joined guests in the stunning double height ceremony space, the Stables Gallery, the wedding coordinator will be with the bride-to-be, father of the bride and any extended bridal party as they prepare to walk down the aisle and exchange vows.

The romance of the Stables Gallery, with its rustic walls and luxurious lighting, makes for a beautiful backdrop to say 'I do'. The ceremony space, chairs, speaker system, coordinator support and optional floral arrangements mean the only thing couples need to book externally is their celebrant, music and any additional decor. Many couples decide not to arrange any additional decor for the Stables Gallery, choosing instead to emphasise the venue's natural features instead.

Drinks Reception & photography

Following the ceremony, guests can enjoy drinks and canapes in our beautiful Courtyard or inside the venue within the Tack Room Bar while photographs are taken of the couple throughout the estate.

Areas which are particularly photogenic include the estate's private loch, where you may be lucky enough to capture swans, ducks or a heron in the background while on the jetty. The woodland is another favourite, adding beautiful seasonal colours to your shots. Think beds of white and green wild garlic in spring, or golds and reds during autumn.

The nearby Whitesands Beach is just a short drive from the estate and provides a blend of backdrops for photographs, including a white sandy beach, a rocky viewpoint and a striking lighthouse, Barns Ness Lighthouse.

While the couple are out with the photographer, the Tack Room Bar is the perfect place to reset after the excitement of the ceremony, with guests enjoying catching up on the comfortable sofas or chatting by the poseur tables. Additionally, the external TukTuk bar also serves drinks from the Courtyard itself. Speak to your wedding coordinator to discuss which drink options are available for the TukTuk.

The Tack Room Bar stocks a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and requests can be made to your wedding coordinator if there's something special that you'd like us to try and source for your big day.

Our offering

Wedding Breakfast

Ahead of your day your wedding coordinator will share our menu, which is created and delivered by our private in-house chef team. Wedding-day dining generally comes in the form of a more formal fine-dining experience, however we can also accommodate a relaxed, sharing-style service if this is more reflective of your wedding plans.

Couples are invited to a complementary menu tasting of some of our most popular dishes before their wedding, and afterwards we ask that they choose two starters, two main courses and two desserts from our menu, along with a dietary option to serve on the day.

We highly recommend pairing your menu choices to your wines, and we will provide guidance on this at the menu tasting and at the point of your menu choices.

If you have any special requests we can tailor food and drink packages to suit your preferences, dietary requirements and style of celebration, so please discuss this with your coordinator directly.

The Wedding Breakfast is served in the Courtyard Dining Hall, and couples can decide on clothed round tables or rustic-style trestle tables to reflect their personal style. Your wedding coordinator will work with you to agree a table plan and format which works for you, along with timings to ensure any speeches or special requests are incorporated into the event order.

Evening Reception

As day turns to night, the Courtyard Dining Hall is transformed into your magical reception space. Welcome your guests back into the room and say hello to any evening guests who might be joining as you prepare for music, dancing and more entertainment!

At this point, guests will have access to two fully-stocked bars in both the Courtyard Dining Hall and the Tack Room Bar, along with the TukTuk if this is something you're keen to keep open.

There's plenty of room for a DJ or live music, along with space to dance and seating for those making the most of the evening food! Our menu also has a range of evening dining options, which are served more casually during the evening entertainment.

At Broxmouth Courtyard, we pride ourselves on creating a flexible and personalised experience, allowing you to bring your vision to life.
