Our commitment to the environment
Working to deliver a sustainable venue
We actively pursue opportunities to reduce the business' impact on its environment. Carbon reduction measures were incorporated into the venue's build from its inception to ensure the lowest possible impact. Additionally, the Broxmouth Courtyard team has successfully secured support from the local authority, East Lothian Council, to further our environmental aims.
This includes the development of a carbon management plan with carbon reduction objectives up to 2030 and 2045, the introduction of a new electricity transformer and the replacement of our existing diesel-powered buggy with a new electric passenger vehicle - enhancing the guest experience and supporting our carbon reduction strategy. We also focus on recruiting locally to ensure employment opportunities support local people and the local economy, while reducing commuting miles as much as possible.
In practice
Carbon reduction built into every element of our operation.
From heat pumps and insulation to green energy supply, electric transport and local recruitment, the estate continues to invest in changes that reduce our impact.
